My focus on ‘Food’ delves into the intricate politics surrounding its production and consumption. Born into a family of tenant farmers, I observed their struggles against landlords, nature, and economic decisions since childhood. My art began by depicting rural life but evolved to question the ongoing exploitation of landless farmers. The tools, objects, and settings in my work metaphorically represent the plight of these farmers.
